Chanel's 2010 Resort collection definitely had a Gatsby feel to it, with the models sporting their hair a la Daisy Buchanan (Mia Farrow's version).
The show took place on a Venice boardwalk, one of Coco Chanel's favourite summer destinations, and also where she met ballet empresario Sergei Diaghilev, whom she was rumoured to have an affair with.
"I wanted to reinvent the mystique," said Karl Lagerfeld. "I was actually more interested in the café society of the thirties and the life Chanel lived here, which is gone now."
