FIRST LOOK: Chanel's "Boy" Bag Collection - Fall 2011

To all the 2.55 fans out there...you may have a new Chanel bag to covet!

The brand is releasing a new line of handbags this fall. Based on the hunting cartridge style originally carried by Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel herself, the Chanel Boy bags are made to embody the androgynous charm the designer was known for.

“Chanel used men’s underwear to make dresses; she had this boyish attitude, in fact it is the very spirit of Chanel. She got it from Boy Capel, the great love of her life, which, incidentally, explains why the new bag is called the Boy Chanel,” Karl Lagerfeld explains of his inspiration.

The glazed calfskin clutches, purses and totes will be available in a red, grey and ivory, and will range from $2500 to $4300.

FIRST LOOK: Trailer for Karl Lagerfeld's latest film (slightly NSFW)

Here's your first look at Karl Lagerfeld's new 30-minute film, The Tale of a Fairy. The short film starrs Freja Beja Erichsen, Baptiste Giabiconi, Kristen McMenamy, and Mark Vandaloo. The full film will be screened at the Chanel Cruise show on May 9th, and will be posted on Chanel's website on May 10th.

IN PHOTOS: Met Gala 2011

Monday night marked the 2011 Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala. The theme for this year's exhibition pays homage to the late Alexander McQueen.

Some memorable outfits from the night included Daphne Guiness' McQueen feathered dress (designed by current McQueen head, Sarah Burton), Miranda Kerr's Marchesa number, and Blake Lively's Chanel dress, which resembled a sari.

Our favourite looks also include Sarah Jessica Parker's beaded McQueen dress, Karlie Kloss' sexy Dior gown, and Elle and Dakota Fanning's Valentino ensembles.

FIRST LOOK: Blake Lively's Chanel ad

Gossip Girl's Blake Lively is the new brand ambassador for Chanel's Mademoiselle handbag line.

"Though I am the face of it, I will carry it like every girl," said the actress of the handbag. "I will always feel it’s more than just a purse. It’s a quilted case full of lipstick, love letters and the dreams and possibilities that I have always felt every time I see that beautiful ‘CC.’ ”

The ad campaign was shot by Karl Lagerfeld himself .

Shortly after Karl Lagerfeld showed his Chanel Resort 2011 collection in Saint-Tropez, the designer shot Georgia May Jagger (who closed the show on a busted motorcycle) alongside his boytoy Baptiste Giabiconi for the collection's lookbook.

Models sported Chanel's new lip colour, Genial, at the fashion house's couture show in Paris yesterday.

The lip colour is part of the label's next colour collection which will come out in the summer, as part of the newest addition to the Rouge Allure lip-colour line.

The raspberry sorbet colour make lips look too delicious to resist! Perfect for the summer, or to brighten up a dreary winter's day.

Très genial, indeed.

Paris Fashion Week: Chanel Spring 2010 RTW

As if I haven't shared my love for Karl Lagerfeld enough already, he had to come out with yet another amazing collection.

The tweets from those lucky attendees of his Chanel Spring 2010 ready-to-wear show made me so excited I could hardly breathe. The Swiss Alps setting. The barnyard. Models emerging from haystacks. Lily Allen performing. Models dancing and rolling in hay. From the sounds of it, the Chanel show was a lot of FUN.

Lagerfeld somehow made hillybilly look chic, and even brought back those infamous clogs we wore back in the day.

My personal favs were the matching male/female outfits (only Karl could make this look cool), the black, grey and white oversized tweed coat, and the ruffled party dresses.

Rihanna was in attendance (the front-row fixture of the season) and Prince also made an appearance.

Paris Fashion Week: Karl Lagerfeld Spring 2010 RTW

If I could choose one person to dress me for the rest of my life, it would probably be Karl Lagerfeld. From his work for Chanel, Fendi, and of course his Karl Lagerfeld line, I have fallen in love with the man with the white ponytail and dark sunglasses.

His Spring 2010 ready-to-wear collection for his self-titled brand is one of my favourites from Paris Fashion Week so far (still anxiously waiting to see the Chanel show). All of the looks were so perfectly put together, and epitomized classic chic, yet remained modern at the same time.

Spotted front row were Katy Perry and Rihanna. With all the shows they've been attending this week, it's no wonder these two are becoming BFFs!
