Chris Brown claims he doesn't remember beating Rihanna

Operation salvage Chris Brown's career is in full effect!

Since beating his former girlfriend, Rihanna, Brown, 20, has pleaded guilty to felony assault and was sentenced last week to five years' probation.

Now, the singer is speaking openly about the incident on Larry King Live.

When asked by King on how he felt about the assault, Brown claimed he didn't remember doing it.

"I just look at it like wow, like I'm in shock, because first of all, that's not who I am as a person and that's not who I promise I was gonna be," he told the talk show host. "Like when I look at the police reports, or when I hear about the police reports, I don't know what to think. I just don't know what to think. It's just like wow."

When King clearly asked if Brown remembered beating Rihanna up, he responded, "No. It's like, it's crazy to me, I'm like wow."

Brown also revealed to People magazine, "I never fell out of love with her. That just wouldn't go away."

Chris Brown's interview on Larry King Live will air this Wednesday, September 2nd at 9PM ET on CNN.

Lady Gaga on the cover of V magazine

Lady Gaga goes naked, again, for V Magazine.

This time, she covers the mag's September issue, which was shot by Mario Testino. The issue comes in two versions. The first, she wears a pair of blue Marc Jacobs sunglasses, and in the other, the pink pair.

"When the Marc Jacobs pink hooded coat and glasses came down the runway, I knew there was only one person I wanted to see in it: Lady Gaga," editor-in-chief Stephen Gan said. "Growing up as a kid obsessed with new wave, I would cut up paper sunglasses and put them onto celebs’ faces on magazine covers. These plastic peel-on and peel-off glasses come in pink and blue and are actually based on the Marc Jacobs ones that came down the runway!"

The issue hits newsstands today!

Megan Fox on the cover of Cosmopolitan

The perfect magazine for her to cover!

The stunning Megan Fox is Cosmopolitan's October 2009 cover girl.

In the magazine, the 23-year-old talks about her phobia of "touching" newspaper, her insecurities and her ability to commit.

Here are some highlights:

On the one thing she’s always wished she’d said “yes” to: The Hannah Montana Movie

On the most scared she’s ever been: “Everytime I go on stage — instant diarrhea.”

On being able to count the number of guys she’s gotten naked in front of on one hand: “I never call them guys. I always called them boys. Maybe it’s a superiority complex–my needing to keep them down.”

On women having the power in a relationship: “Women hold the power because we have the vaginas. If you’re in a heterosexual relationship and you’re a female, you win.”

On being a firm believer in monogamy: “I have no problem with commitment–you can’t have a real relationship without it. I can flip on a switch in my brain, and even if the next Brad Pitt is standing next to me, I won’t look at him. but I can also turn that switch of, and then I collect attractive boys.” (She’s currently dating Brian Austin Green.)

On her insecurities: "I'm very confident in how I project my personality. But in terms of how I look, I'm completely, hysterically insecure. I'm self-loathing, introverted and neurotic."

The new issue of Cosmopolitan will hit newsstands September 8th.

Designers dream up Bella Swan's wedding gown

Design by Christian Siriano

Exciting news for all you Twilight fans!

InStyle reached out to several designers to see how they would envision Bella Swan's wedding gown.

In the third installment of Stephenie Meyer's saga, Eclipse, Bella's dress is described as an early 1900s design (with some modern tweaks made by Alice Cullen) that complements her antique engagement ring.

Check out the gowns, along with descriptions from InStyle, below!

My favs are Siraiano's, Badgley Mischka's, and Erin Fetherston's.

Zac Posen
This pink gown features a turn-of-the-century corset, bustle, full skirt, high-neck and dramatic detailed sleeves. Posen keeps to the vintage theme by finishing with lace-up boots.

Badgley Mischka
Badgley Mischka's vision is a strong silhouette with vintage details like full-length lace sleeves and bodice, and a high-buttoned neck.

Lela Rose
Rose focused on the rear view of her off-white, handcrafted dress. The simple body gathers at back into a sweet lace bustle.

Prabal Gurung
Gurung had the most modern interpretation. The dress has a dramatic train, low-cut back and features a unique neckline with red embellishments for a touch of color.

Max Azria
Azria focused on the vintage lace detail for his Victorian inspired gown. The dress is complete with lace peaked shoulders, full sleeves and a high neck
.

Brian Reyes
Reyes envisions the fabric as a slightly tarnished bone color. The silhouette is a long skirt with a ruffled blouse and lace diamond inserts. The inspiration is a youthful spin on early 20th century Edwardian era elegance.

Erin Fetherston
This interpretation has a high-neck, puff sleeves and lace bustier. Fetherston put her signature ethereal touch on the two-tiered body with a tulle and lace underlayer.

Monique Lhuillier
Lhuillier's creation is a mermaid-style dress with lace detailing. The reworked take on a gown from the 1920s features a silk sash and high neck with cap sleeves.

Liberty of London pairs up with Hermès

I fell in love with Liberty of London on my recent trip to England.

Unlike Toronto's largest department store, Holt Renfrew, Liberty had that wonderful juxtaposition of the latest designer goods in a gorgeous historic building.

Trying on the Alexander McQueen motorcycle jacket boot and some Luella tweed jackets was divine, but I was especially loved Liberty's own goods: jewellery, handbags, scarves...

So when I heard that Liberty has partnered with Hermès, you can imagine my excitement.

The two brands started with Liberty’s floral Tana Lawn fabric. Hermès added a classic stagecoach and horse print in contrasting colors and promised to decorate the Scarf Room in the famed British department store, with the theme "Tying the Knot."

The scarves and ties will be available on September 7th, for six weeks.

For those of us who aren't in London, the scarves can be purchased here!

OMFG! Chuck Bass goes gay in the new season of GG

SPOTTED: Chuck Bass kissing....a boy??

Poor Blair!

Several Gossip Girl insiders are revealing that Ed Westwick's character kisses another man in Season Three.

So who's the mystery man? Josh Ellis, NYU's head of freshman affairs, played by Neal Bledsoe.

Josh is a "person of interest" to Blair (Leighton Meester), as he is in charge of selecting a new NYU student to deliver the freshman class speech. To get the gig, Blair supposedly sets Chuck up with the gay guy in charge.

Fans of the Gossip Girl books already know that Chuck's character swings both ways...it was only a matter of time before the CW incorporated this in the show!

Thoughts??

In case you missed it...

Anna Wintour was on David Letterman's show last night.

After a grueling 30 minutes of listening to Letterman's awful jokes, to my dismay, I passed out before Ms. Wintour came on.

I vaguely remember her saying she's not warm and fuzzy, and her awkward giggles with the host before I fell back asleep.

Luckily there's YouTube!

CFDA publishes American Fashion Cookbook

Want to eat like your favourite designer?

Well, the CFDA has released the American Fashion Cookbook, a compilation of recipes, illustrations, and food-related quotes from over 100 American designers.

Derek Lam contributed Yellowtail Crudo, Isaac Mizrahi submitted Mushroom Truffle Spaghetti, and Diane von Furstenberg, who says she's "never been a great cook," added a recipe for Saturday Night Chicken (see recipe below).

What she uses:

1 or more whole chicken

½ lemon

Sage leaves

2 tablespoons sour cream

2 tablespoons mustard of your choice

Potatoes

Rosemary

Olive oil

Diane's Directions:

Preheat cover to 400 degrees. Wash, dry and salt the chicken and put in a Pyrex baking dish. Squeeze the juice of the ½ lemon inside the chicken cavity. Add sage leaves (the more the better), sour cream, and mustard inside the chicken. Peel potatoes and put in baking dish. Sprinkle rosemary and olive oil on chicken and potatoes. Bake at 400 degrees for 1-½ hours. Serve it with love.

Making it seem all too easy, DVF leaves us with this " I have never been a great cook, yet when you cook for the ones you love, you somehow become one. My Saturday Night Chicken is a simple recipe, full of herbs and full of love. It is a meal that somehow is so cozy and delicious that you always end up eating it with your hands!"

This might actually motivate me to learn how to cook!

American Fashion Cookbook can be purchased at amazon.com.

Leighton Meester's got a VMA promo too!

Not to be outdone, Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester also took part in a West Side Story-inspired promo for the 2009 MTV VMAs.

Joining her was Cobra Starship. The video was filmed at the Transit Museum in Brooklyn, making use of a vintage New York City subway car. Choreography was done by Wade Robson.

Taylor Swift's MTV VMA Promo

Taylor Swift showed off her best musical theatre skills when she sang "Tonight" for the 2009 MTV VMAs West Side Story-inspired promo.

“My version of ‘Tonight’ was pretty theatrical, because I listened to the song and I heard the song and I’m just like, ‘There’s no way to do this and not play it up,’ ” the 19-year-old singer said. “When we were in the studio recording, it I just kind of went all out — all show tunes. I am obsessed with Broadway, so I was pretty excited about getting to sing this song.”

Not too sure if this style suits her, but still a valiant effort!

Longchamp collaborates with ANDAM winners

During my recent trip to London, I spotted the Longchamp Le Pliage bag on women - and men - of almost all ages.

I had never paid much attention to the canvas bag before, or to how useful and classic chic they are.

My mom and I bought four, in different sizes and colours of course.

I thought I had reached my fix, until I discovered the new limited edition Le Pliage bags.

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of ANDAM (Association Nationale pour le Développement des Arts de la Mode), the label collaborated with three past winners: Jeremy Scott, Charles Anastase, and Bless designers Desiree Heiss and Ines Kaag.

J'adore Anastase's ballet slipper illustration, but the most innovative design would have to be by Bless, as the bag can be folded into itself to become a leather bracelet resembling a doughnut. Cute, and practical!

The bags will be available at Longchamp stores worldwide, and in select boutiques October 1st.

Lady GaGa in Out magazine

One of her best shoots to date!

Lady GaGa landed the cover of Out magazine, along with a feature and spread.

The 23-year-old singer, formally known as Stefani Germanotta, channels '50s B horror movies in the magazine. The photographer, Ellen von Unwerth, says she was influenced by fantasies of "a kind of Frankenstein's bride who gets attacked by a sexy vampire and becomes one herself."

I'm in love!
