Emma Watson lands Burberry campaign
So long Gryffindor scarf, and hello to the Burberry checks.
Harry Potter star, Emma Watson, is the new face of the British brand.
Despite the talk that Chanel had snatched her, this is the first major advertising campaign for the 19-year old, and will supposedly boost her estimated £8million fortune by six figures.
The campaign, which was photographed by Mario Testino, features Watson in clothing from the Burberry fall/winter collection, which was inspired by Virginia Woolf and the Bloomsbury set.
Burberry’s creative director Christopher Bailey told The Evening Standard that the young star was the "obvious choice" for the campaign.
"Emma has a classic beauty, a great character and a modern edge. Her charm, intellect and brilliant sense of fun made the whole shoot feel like a picnic on the Thames."
He added, “I wanted the images to represent the rich history and modernity of Burberry while reflecting a quiet beauty, timelessness and strength that is particularly significant today."
