This is the first celebrity fashion line that I'm not groaning about!
Madonna is teaming up with her 13-year-old daughter, Lourdes Leon, to create a junior fashion line called, "Material Girl."
The line, which is named after Madonna's 1984 hit song, will be sold exclusively for back-to-school season starting August 3rd.
Material Girl will include apparel, footwear, jewelry and handbags, and will range from $12 to $40.
"I think this line is absolutely an extension of her taste," Madonna said in a statement about her daughter's involvement. "We like to combine … a plaid or a flannel with a lace, or leather with lace or rhinestones. So we mix and match textures and fabrics and elements that are both masculine and feminine."
This isn't Madonna's first venture in fashion. Back in 2007, she teamed up with H&M for the M by Madonna line. However, Lourdes has proven herself to be as fashion savvy as her mother, so it'll be interesting to see what else the line has to offer.
