News broke this morning that Versace will be the next designer to collaborate with fast-fashion chain, H&M.
Designed by Versace creative director, Donatella Versace, the collection will "look back to the vibrant heritage of the brand, full of leather, print, colour and exuberance in exclusive materials at fantastic H&M prices."
“For me this is an opportunity to show to a very very big audience what Versace has been and what Versace is now,” said Donatella. “As a designer I look at the future–I never look at the past, but being the sister of Gianni, the DNA is Versace and I’m going to use iconic Versace pieces of iconic Versace moments which are not exactly always the past but also the present.”
The collection will include womenswear, menswear, and pieces for the home, and will hit stores on November 17. A pre-spring collection will be released on January 19, 2012, but only to countries with H&M online sales.
Donatella already wore one of the pieces at last night's Versace menswear show at Milan Fashion Week (pictured above), and H&M has given us a sneak peek of what is to come.
