Bad news for those of you who enjoy Lily Allen's music.
The British pop star has announced that she has decided to pursue a career in fashion. Although she does have experience designing, she won't be launching a celebrity clothing line. Instead, she's starting a vintage project called "Lucy in Disguise" with her sister, Sarah Owen.
The project will launch at the Vintage at Goodwood Festival in August. The event is the brainchild of the Red or Dead founder and designer, Wayne Hemmingway, and will be the first festival to fuse music, fashion, design and retail. The goal is to re-create "a unique 'retro' atmosphere from the 1940s through to the 80s," according to the Telegraph.
Allen is of course, no stranger to the fashion world, landing front-row seats at major fashion shows, and having recently starred in Chanel's Fall/Winter '09 campaign.
"To me, the idea of music and fashion being separate is just not possible – one can’t exist without the other," she told Style.com.
