Gaga gets in touch with her masculine side

The blogosphere exploded when super stylist, Nicola Formichetti, posted photos of a model named Jo Calderone.

However, die-hard Gaga fans (who know that Formichetti is Gaga's stylist) claim that the model, is in fact, their beloved Momma Monster.

To further add the to speculation, Perez Hilton posted the photos on Twitter, and said, "My husband Jo Calederone! We are in love!" He also tweeted, "My man is so hot! http://twitpic.com/20vw93 Love him!"

The photos were shot by Nick Knight, and will appear in the September 2010 issue of Vogue Hommes Japan.

No word from Gaga yet on whether it really is her in the photos, but knowing her, it's more likely than not.

Gaga performs on Idol

Last week, Lady Gaga pre-recorded her performance on American Idol, which aired last night.

Gaga performed an acoustic rendition of "Bad Romance" followed by her latest single, "Alejandro" wearing an outfit designed by Giorgio Armani.

However, after the performance aired, Gaga tweeted, "FOX POORLY + AMATEURLY edited+cut my performance/musical arrangement on idol. Watch real version."

Lady Gaga scribbles on her Birkin

Trust Lady Gaga to customize something so sacred as an Hermes Birkin bag.

The "Alejandro" singer wrote, “I love little monster, Tokyo love” in the Japanese alphabet Katakana while visiting Tokyo yesterday.

She later TwitPic-ed several other scribbles on the Birkin.

I wonder what Hermes thinks of this!

Vogue Italia does Twitter

The magazine's December issue features models Gisele Bundchen, Lara Stone, Kasia Struss, Christy Turlington and Natalia Vodianova in photos they took themselves.

Kevin Jonas is engaged!

Sad news for all you Jonas fans.

One of the beloved brothers is ready to officially take himself off the market...until death do him part.

Kevin Jonas, the eldest of the brothers, proposed to longtime girlfriend, Danielle Deleasa, Wednesday morning.

After arriving in New Jersey on an overnight flight from a concert in Vancouver, the 21-year-old showed up at his girlfriend's doorstop, dropped down to his knee and asked her to marry him, presenting her with a self-designed ring from Jacob & Co (pictured above).

"She said yes, yes, yes like 500 times super fast in a row," Kevin told People magazine. "It was tough performing last night, knowing that I was going to ask the biggest question in my life to the most amazing girl in the world."

His parents, Denise and Kevin Jonas Sr. said, "Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle for her hand in marriage. Her answer was yes, and it is such a blessing that she will be joining our family. Kevin and Danielle have not yet set a date. Family is very dear to us, and we hope we have raised Kevin to be a wonderful man and husband. Please join us in our family's celebration and in congratulating Kevin and Danielle. Thank you for all of your support."

Younger brothers Joe and Nick tweeted, "Congrats big brother.....Dani welcome to the family, we can't wait to have you join us on the road!"

Congrats to the happy couple!

She's just being Miley!

Adam Shankman posted the above pictures of Miley Cyrus on Twitter earlier today.

The photos are of Cyrus "fooling around" in her dresing room on the set of her new movie, The Last Song in Georgia.

Unfortunately for the Hannah Montana star, the photos were deemed controversial, much to Shankman's surprise.

"Miley is a sweet angel who works tirelessly and endlessly, and is allowed to have fun in the make up room! Seriously! Lighten up or no more behind the scenes pics! She's like my angel little sister," tweeted Shankman.

We say: She's 16, she wants to have fun, and she can't help it if she's an attention wh*re!

MMVA Drama: Perez Hilton vs. Will.I.Am

Drama went down at the MMVA afterparties last night between blogger, Perez Hilton and Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas.

Hilton is accusing Black Eyed Peas manager, Liborio "Polo" Molina, of punching him in the face numerous times, after a verbal altercation between the blogger and Will.I.Am.

Will, however, is claiming that a fan punched Hilton.

Toronto police have charged Molina with assault, and he is due to appear in court on August 5.

According to Perez, in his official statement, the drama started when Fergie approached Perez at Ultra, asking him why he was writing negative things about her and the band. Perez supposedly explained that he was just being objective, and that it was all just "silly."

Later on in the night, Perez went to Cobra nightclub for another afterparty.

According to the blogger, Will came into the club at aroudn 2:30 in the morning, approached Perez and said, Yo, I need you to do me a favor. I need you to never write about my band on your web site again."

Hilton declined, and after the conversation escalated, the admitted to calling Will.I.Am a homophobic slur.

When Hilton went outside, he saw Will and his entourage, and that's when he was punched in the face by Polo, causing him to bleed.

Perez called the police, but also took to Twitter as a cry for help.

"I'm in shock. I need the police ASAP. Please come to the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel now. Please."

He posted shortly thereafter, "I was assaulted by will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke," said his tweet.

Will.I.Am tried to set the record straight with a video blog today, claiming that a fan attacked Hilton.

"One of the fans gets all like crazy and they like start some stuff with Perez Hilton. And I'm sitting there just minding my own business waiting for a car and what not, but it just goes to show you how crazy things can get. It's not that serious. It's all music and opinion. People make a career from opinion, which is cool, but don't be disrespectful about it. And fans, don't get all crazy about it," he said.

He also created his own twitter account to set the record straight.

"i just made a twitter account because it isnt cool for someone to blame you and blast you with lies..." he tweeted. "this is dude is crazy...he will go to any length to get press... wow...!!!!"

Further, Will made another video blog in response to Perez's official statement.

"I hit you Perez? Come on dude, I didn't hit you," he said. "And this is very wrong that you are twitting that I did that. Once again, disrespecting me and everything that I stand for...and that's wrong. Shame on you, shame on your behaviour, and that's just messed up."

One of my sources who was at Cobra tells me that it was indeed, Polo, who attacked Hilton, not a fan. But we'll see what happens!

An open letter to the fashion industry: why so serious?

Dear Fashion World,

As much as I love and respect you and the industry, sometimes I feel that I just need to take a step back at look at you from an outsider's point of view.

And really, when I think about it, those of us who devote our lives to fashion have the tendency to justify the ridiculousness of your industry.

Case in point: Madonna's Louis Vuitton number at the Met Ball. Brilliant fashion statement, or just plain awful? You went for the former, when really, we all know she looked like a fool.

Fortunately, many satirical fashion sites have emerged, awakening us from the absurdness of your world.

Fashion Roast poked fun at some of the most famed fashion bloggers, including Rumi Neely of Fashion Toast, and the trends these bloggers followed (they once made a DIY: BLEACHED DENIM post, where they used "Paint" to draw on white splotches in order to "bleach" a denim jacket.) "WE R LIKE TOTALLY IMPORTANT AND INFLUENTIAL MEMBERS OF THE FASHION COMMUNITY LOL," read their profile. Unforunately, the blog has now been removed. I guess the bloggers got offended.

Karl Lagerfeld's Guide to Life is written by a fake Karl, who captures the essence of the famed designer, but in a hilarious and outrageous way. One of his most recent posts is a scolding towards his Twitter followers. He claims that although he has 1577 followers, not that many people follow the actual blog: "The real reason so little of you 1577 cannot read this blog is because you cannot read! You people cannot read any more than one-hundred-and-forty characters at a time! Your short little attention spans can only grasp these little messages of 140 letters, hm?" Contributers include a faux Anna Wintour and Yves Saint Laurent.


Look at this F*cking Hipster posts photos of those who still religiously follow the hipster fad, and provides their own commentary. You can find several of these "hipsters" wearing thick-framed glasses, very low-cut v-necks, and of course, the signature skinny jean.


But perhaps one of the most brilliant of these sites is WWWWD, a parody of Women's Wear Daily that debuted during New York Fashion Week. Deemed "The Onion" of the fashion world, Worldwide Womenswear Digest brilliantly pokes fun at the best of the best in the fashion industry. The creators recently came out with their second issue, a Met-ball special, which includes a review of André Leon Talley's capes.

So dear industry, please understand that my love affair with these satirical sites means I am turning my back on you. I simply just needed some entertainment to keep me happy. After all, fashion is supposed to be fun, right?
