Vogue's "All-Model" issue

The May cover of Vogue's much anticipated all-model issue has leaked, and is getting mixed reviews.

Fashionista
does not understand the common theme between all the models, while The Cut blog raves that it's the third time in a row a black model has graced the cover (Michelle Obama and Beyonce appeared on the two previous covers).

But with Vogue Italia's all-black issue that came out last July, why is there only one black model, and one Latina model in a sea of white ones? And where are the Asian models?

The times are changing, and the fashion industry needs to embrace and accept that fact!

What do you think of the cover?

Alicia Keys plays Michelle Obama

...and she does a much better job than Tyra!

As part of Glamour magazine's "American Icons" feature, the 28 year-old singer portrays First Lady, Michelle Obama.

Dressed in a blue dress, with two young girls, and of course, a puppy by her side, Alicia Keys embodies the First Lady's best traits, looking poised, elegant, and chic.

“She has worked hard for everything she’s accomplished, and done so with grace and humility. So many women and girls can identify with her story,” Keys told the magazine.

Other female celebrities taking part in this feature include Hayden Panettiere as Amelia Earhart, Emma Roberts as Audrey Hepburn, and Canadian actress Elisha Cuthbert as Brandi Chastain. Lindsay Lohan is also photographed as Madonna and America Ferrera as Dolores Huerta.

Catching Up: Michelle Obama for Vogue, Armani vs. D&G, and more Kelly Rutherford divorce drama

It's confirmed! The First Lady, Michelle Obama, will be on the cover of the March issue of Vogue [Fashionista].

Designer Giorgio Armani is accusing Dolce&Gabbana for copying one of his designs [The Guardian].

The Kelly Rutherford divorce is getting ugly! The GG actress and her estranged husband have been forced to testify in court regarding issues around their son [People.com].

White House Fashion

The thing on everyone's mind is the dress Michelle Obama wore last night at the inauguration ball.

The one-shouldered white ball gown was designed by Jason Wu, a 26-year-old Taiwanese-American whose first collection debuted less than three years ago.

Along with designing, he is the creative director of Integrity Toys, a luxury doll company that makes over-priced dolls wearing runway-inspired clothing. Wu has been with this company since he was seventeen.

Tyra as the First Lady

Tyra Banks poses as Michelle Obama in the new issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine.

In the article, Tyra proclaims to presidential candidate, Barack Obama's wife, "Michelle Obama, you are one hot mama!" and reveals that her idea of a modern first lady would "need to know how to take a fierce picture but at the same time be able to eat fried chicken, have grease on her fingers, and be okay with getting photographed like that, too."
