Sex and the City 2: UK Premiere

The fabulous women of Sex and the City hit up the London premiere of Sex and the City 2 in Leicester Square today.

Sarah Jessica Parker opted for a black voluminous Alexander McQueen gown, complete with an eccentric headpiece à Isabella Blow. The actress also wore a black armband to pay tribute to the late designer.

Kim Cattrall went for a more demure, Old-Hollywood look, compared to her golden Naeem Khan at the New York premiere, wearing a black Thierry Mugler frock.

But perhaps this was because Kristin Davis wanted to shine, in her gold Norman Norell dress.

Cynthia Nixon opted for a more simple dress than her co-stars by Narciso Rodriguez.

Sarah Jessica Parker appointed fashion executive at Halston

Just like her other fashionable peers, Sarah Jessica Parker has decided to jump on the celebrity-turned-designer bandwagon.

The Sex and the City star is joining Halston as president and chief creative officer.

Parker will own an equity stake in the firm, and will also have a seat on the Halston board. This arrangement will give her an integral role in shaping the strategic direction of the iconic brand - and according to WWD, "could change the way celebrities look at future fashion deals."

“I think this is a brand new kind of business model and it illustrates how serious I am about this position,” Parker told WWD in an exclusive interview. “I think it’s wonderful to feel invested in something.

“I tend not to just endorse something,” she added. “I like feeling the stakes.”

“Sarah Jessica has always had a love for Halston and we have always looked at her as a great American style icon," said chief executive officer Bonnie Takhar. "When all of this surfaced, we sat down and had a conversation. With her history of having had a successful business with Bitten, and her interest in getting involved in the fashion business, we talked about how we could work together and have a meaningful business relationship.”

Parker hopes to bring "good manners, a point of view that is inspiring, that is hopefully smart, and an incredible passion and excitement and enthusiasm, as well as some experience of what I know about women, that having been pretty much the focus of my role in ‘Sex and the City.’”

Fashion's Night Out commercial

Here is the promo for Fashion's Night Out featuring Anna Wintour, Vera Wang, Ashley Olsen, Coco Rocha, Sarah Jessica Parker, Daria Werbowy, Diddy, Donna Karan, Isaac Mizrahi, Rachel Roy, Diane von Furstenberg, Alexander Wang, and many more. All of these big names in the fashion industry are sporting the official Fashion's Night Out t-shirt, and encouraging everyone to shop on Thursday, September 10th. 

The public service announcement was filmed by director Douglas Keeve and will be all over network TV, taxis, and online.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick expecting twins!

Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband, Matthew Broderick are expecting twin girls via a surrogate, their reps confirmed yesterday.

The twins will be joining Parker, 44, Broderick 47, and their son, James Wilkie, 6, this summer.

A friend told Entertainment Weekly that the couple have been trying to get pregnant for years, and that the surrogate was the "best alternative for expanding their family."

Congratulations to the two! But does this mean that their marriage isn't on the rocks...or will the babies just be a quick fix?

Sex and the City sequel confirmed!

Carrie Bradshaw and the gang are back for a second time on the big screen!

Sex and the City writer-director Michael Patrick King has confirmed that Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, and Kirstin Davis signed their contracts yesterday afternoon for a sequel to the box office hit Sex and the City: The Movie.

"I'm very excited to work with these amazing actresses again," said King, "and would love to give everyone more information about the sequel… but I'm busy with my Sex life."

The second movie will begin filming this summer, and is due in theatres summer 2010.

The last movie was pretty disappointing to say the least, and I can't imagine how the storyline can be extended even more, but it'll be interesting to see how the ladies' styles evolve!
