Christian Louboutin making custom skates for Johnny Weir

The Cut Blog is reporting that Christian Louboutin will be designing custom skates for figure skater Johnny Weir.

The Louboutin skates "will be a first" and "exclusively" for Weir.

"I love me some red soles," said the 26-year-old three-time U.S. National Champion.

Can't wait to see what he Louboutin will come up with! 

Christian Louboutin white cage heels: love them or hate them?

It's no secret that I love Christian Louboutin. His shoes are works of art, and I plan on buying myself a pair once I get my first real paycheque.

But these white caged heels made me realize, geniuses don't always get it right.

Resembling a clog, with a higher heel, these shoes are just, well, ugly.

Vampire Diaries' Katerina Graham loves her heavy metal; 2nd annual Golden Globes Party Saluting Young Hollywood

Last night, Vampire Diaries star, Katerina Graham sported gorgeous spiked ring overtop black leather gloves at InStyle's 2nd annual Golden Globes party saluting Young Hollywood.

But this isn't the first time the 20-year-old actress has sported some extravagant jewelry: she wore a rectangular rhinestoned number at The Lovely Bones premiere on December 7th, and wore the spiked ring at Variety's 3rd Annual Power of Youth Event on December 5th.

The spikes have been a popular pick for the fashion savvy, including Rihanna's Christian Louboutin shoes at the VEVO Launch, and her numerous spiked outfits and Fergie's dress at the Grammy concert.

So my question is, should this potentially dangerous trend be limited to jewelry only, or would you rock it like Rihanna and Fergie...or just avoid it altogether?

Christian Louboutin for Barbie

Iconic shoe maker Christian Louboutin has teamed up with Mattel, the marker of Barbie to give the 50-year-old doll a makeover.

The collection consists of three dolls, inspired by Nefertiti and Marilyn Monroe, packaged in Louboutin shoe boxes. Each doll comes with four pairs of Barbie-sized Louboutin heels.

The dolls will be released separately, with the jewel thief-themed doll in December, the safari-themed in February and the Barbie who goes to the Cannes Film Festival in May. They will retail for $150 each and will be sold at BarbieCollector.com and at net-a-porter.com. The sites will also offer a Christian Louboutin Barbie shoe collection of 12 pairs for $40 in September.

Additionally, Louboutin will star in a photo diary with Barbie called, "My Year in Paris With Christian Louboutin." The book will come with the jewel thief Barbie and will also be sold separately for $40 in December.

Louboutin recently received criticism from the blogosphere when he said he found Barbie's "ankles were too fat." He tried to redeem himself with a new statement:

"Barbie’s foot has always been shaped less ‘curvy’ than the rest of her perfect body. I just added my little science to Barbie and I’ve been proud to serve her. But fat ankles she didn’t have, she just could have had thinner ankles. That’s all. She needed great shoes, a thinner ankle and, to me, as I’m obsessed with feet, a foot more curved."

Fat ankles or not, Barbie's still the luckiest doll in the world!

Christian Louboutin for Piper Heidsieck: "Le Rituel" boxset.

My favourite shoe designer, Christian Louboutin has teamed up with Champagne makers Piper Heidsieck to produce this limited edition "Le Rituel" boxset. The set contains a bottle of champagne with a glass flute shaped as a Louboutin stiletto.

Inspired by a ritual from the 19th century where prima ballerinas were famously celebrated by gentleman patrons who raised a toast of Champagne poured into the dancer's slipper, following a triumphant performance.

The boxset will be available in the United States on October 19th.

Spotted: Megan Fox at TIFF

It's times like these that I love living in Toronto!

New York's not the only city hosting a special event. The city of Toronto is luring in the hottest celebrities for Toronto's International Film Festival.

Megan Fox was one of the many stars who was spotted in Hollywood North.

The 23-year-old Transformers star attended the premiere of her latest film, Jennifer's Body, in a black Valentino dress and Christian Louboutin pumps.

The Style Savvy: Rachel McAdams

Rachel McAdams looked radiant in a white Pucci dress with a plunging neckline at the premiere of her new movie, The Time Traveller's Wife at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old actress paired her frock with a pair of Christian Louboutins, H. Stern jewellery and a Stella McCartney clutch.

The Time Traveller's Wife opens in theatres this Friday, August 14. Will you watch it?

Last night marked the 2009 CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) Awards held at the Lincoln Center in New York City.

The star-studded evening was filled with designers, celebrities and models celebrating American fashion.

Shoemaker, Christian Louboutin, has teamed up with renowned still-life photographer Peter Lipmann for his latest ad campaign.

The photographs feature the famed red soles as 18th century works of art.

Are designers sneakers the latest trend?

Christian Louboutin, who is usually known for his red-soled heels, recently created a leopard-print sneaker.

Now, Yves Saint Laurent has teamed up with its sister company Puma to create a high-top sneaker for men.

The sneaker, which is available in black leather and grey suede is available in YSL boutiques, but will be sold exclusively on its e-commerce site in the states.

This is not Puma's first collaboration with the Gucci Group brands, as they have previously worked with Alexander McQueen and Sergio Rossi.

Famed for his red high-heeled soles, Christian Louboutin has come out with a sneaker!

There's no word on how much these leopard-print high tops will cost yet, but there's no doubt the soles will be red, right?

The Christian Louboutin Limited Edition “Marie Antoinette” shoe

Apparently in a time of recession, people will pay $6,295.00 for ridiculously ugly shoes.

I'm a huge fan of Christian Louboutin, but this limited edition "Marie Antoinette" shoe is definitely not one of his best creations.

To be fair, you're not just paying for the shoes.

The money you'll be spending will also get you a specifically constrcuted box to keep your heels, and an illustrated book explaining how these intricate shoes were created.

Only 36 pairs have been made (in blush pink, ochre yellow and royal blue), and all of them have been claimed.

The most gorgeous ankle boots

Thanks to fashionista.com, I'm craving yet another pair of Christian Louboutins.

These ankle boots are a perfect way to merge your summer clothes into your fall wardrobe. They can be worn with a flirty dress, alone, or with tights, and an oversized, chunky cardigan thrown over.

And imagine them with skinny jeans, or dressy shorts. Amazing.

Yet at $1195, I'll never be able to afford these shoes.

Hopefully I'll find a similar, more affordable pair, elsewhere, to cure me of my anguish.

Just like every Carrie Bradshaw fan, I have a love for designer shoes. However, with my budget, I am forced to buy less expensive knock-offs of my favourite styles. I have developed a love for cheap shoes as well, but whenever I visit Saks or Neiman Marcus online, I mourn the fact that I cannot buy the beautifully creations.

I have decided that when I am fashion editor, my first big purchase will be a pair of Christian Louboutins. My mother helped me to recognize the iconic red soles at a very young age, and ever since then, I have always dreamed of owning a pair. The shape of the shoe is so expertly crafted, and his designs are always so classy, but unique.

This particular pair combines the fabulous red soles with a large satin bow (another one of my obsessions).

But with its $795 price tag, I guess I'll need to be saving up if I can ever own this pair!
