Fashion Savvy or Fashionably Challenged? - Blake Lively

Blake Lively's girls came out to play at Comic-Con this weekend.

The Gossip Girl star wore this revealing Preen number to the convention while promoting her new film, The Green Lantern.

What do you think of Blake's cleavage-bearing look? Do or don't?

The Fashionably Challenged: Leighton Meester

Dear Leighton Meester,

Your Gossip Girl character's wardrobe may have inspired young girls and women everywhere, but the outfits that you have been sporting lately have just been all sorts of wrong!

Not that you're always fashionably challenged; that Louis Vuitton number you wore at the Met Ball was kind of out there, but still really cute, and you looked gorgeous at the Emmy Awards with the red lips and the white Bottega Veneta gown.

But then there was the fallopian tube disaster at the American Eagle store opening, and your makeup just was a mess when you wore that black dress with the black bandeau to the same event.

Not to mention your nude bodysuit and black bra ensemble at KISS FM's Jingle Ball, and the leather dress with the cutout sweater underneath at Z100's concert...

But the outfit you wore when you appeared at The Underground is the rotten icing on an already terrible cake.

Lace, underwear as outerwear, and parachute pants may be in, but they should not be paired together at the same time.

Not a good way to start your year!

But don't worry Leighton, there's still time to hire a better stylist!

We know you can do it!

Love,
The Chic Spot.

The Fashionably Challenged: Mischa Barton

Oh, Mischa Barton.

I know you've just come out of the psych ward, but I didn't think your mental illnesses would affect your fashion sense too.

This outfit is just wrong. From the cutouts, to the black opaque tights, to the pink and black Louboutin booties...just an all-around no.

You used to dress so well, Mischa. You should really try to salvage your style, along with your career.

xoxo,
The Chic Spot.

The Fashionably Challenged: Fergie

Fergie arrived at the Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday in an electric blue and black ensemble.

I'm okay with the colour combo and the pants, but those glasses?! More suited for Gaga!

The Fashionably Challenged: Drew Barrymore

The awful layering. The floor length plaid dress. The checkered scarf. The boots. All wrong! What was Drew Barrymore thinking??

MTV Movie Awards 2009: The Style Savvy and the Fashionably Challenged

Best Dressed:

Ashley Tisdale - The High School Musical star looked radiant on the red-carpet. She accessorized her outfit perfectly...and those shoes are just to die for!

Vanessa Hudgens - Tisdale's co-star also looked stunning in a floor-length orange gown. Not too crazy about the shoes, but luckily the dress somewhat hides them.

Leighton Meester - The Gossip Girl actress looked gorgeous is this black dress with mesh cut-outs. Again, a different shoe would have made this look pop even more.

Sienna Miller - This is the CORRECT way to sport a sparkly dress (see Audrina Partridge's version below).

Malin Akerman - This actress looked super sexy in a white pantsuit.

Worst Dressed:

Rumer Willis - The spawn of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis was possibly the ultimate worst dressed of the night. The clown-red hair, the mosaic dress, the makeup...just awful.

Miranda Cosgrove - The iCarly star definitely had a "fashion miss" moment. At least she's trying to dress age-appropriately, and not showing too much skin!

Elizabeth Reaser - Oh Elizabeth, why must you wear those disgusting, outdated beige shoes? With the huge success of the Twilight film, you could at least afford to buy a nice pair of Chrisitan Louboutins!

Audrina Partridge - Who needs bright lights? This Hills star's dress is so flashy, it is headache-inducing.

Sacha Baron Cohen as Bruno

Sandra Bullock - The Proposal actress recently filmed a nude scene with co-star Ryan Reynolds. So why the black tights? Show off those legs!

Megan Fox - The normally stunning Transformers actress did not look her best last night. Great shoes, and an okay dress, but the slicked-back hair doesn't work for her.

Miley Cyrus - Is there any surprise that Miley would be part of the Worst Dressed list? The dress is bland, her ponytail seems too casual, and her eye makeup looks too dark for her. The Hannah Montana star even tweeted, "i totally match the background not chill!"

Kristen Stewart - The Twilight actress gets points for trying something different by pairing her dress with the Converse shoes...but with her demeanor, it seems like she just doesn't care.

The Fashionably Challenged: Audrina Partridge

Oh Audrina.

We all know you're not very smart up there, especially since you kept on going back to that Justin Bobby guy on The Hills.

But at least you had some sense of style going for you!

Not anymore, it seems.

Sheer tops and colourful bandage skirts may be in right now, but the colour combination makes you look like a bumblebee, and the shirt just makes your fake boobs look, well, even more fake.

You may be trying to channel your inner Rumi Neely, but you just need to accept that fashion risks like these don't work for you!

Better luck next time!

The Fashionably Challenged: Miley Cyrus

Image via celebrity-gossip.net

Why, Miley, why? You were doing so well!

Just when I thought Miley Cyrus was beginning to understand the concept of dressing in age-appropriate, flattering clothing, she sported this Dolce and Gabanna dress the the Paris premiere of Hannah Montana: The Movie.

The pattern is way too old for her, the cinching below the bust makes her appear wider than she actually is, the length diminishes her height, and the sequined collar makes her look like she has no neck!

Yet another fashion miss for Miley Cyrus.

The Fashionably Challenged: Christina Aguilera

Image via dlisted.com

Christina Aguilera at the Africa Rising Festival at London's Royal Albert Hall last night.

The lamé leggings, purple pumps, and horrifying printed top is just not flattering at all. And Christina, why do you keep trying to emulate Lady Gaga? You looked fabulous in your Back to Basics era!

Please go back to being your gorgeous self...or at least reinvent yourself into something original!
