Here are the things that are currently tickling my fancy.

1. Jean Paul Gaultier's croc overalls at Paris Couture week.

2. Judith Leiber's Cupcake crystal-embellished clutch ($4295 at net-a-porter.com).
The jaguar clutch also deserves honorable mention.

3. Lady Gaga's Malta press conference.
Favourite quotes include, "I'm inspired by fashion. I'm inspired by the moonlight. I'm inspired by sex and pornography and slasher films," and "Just get a good shot of my ass on the way out."


4. Chanel's wedding-style dresses at Couture week.

6. British hunk Freddie Stroma, who plays Cormac McLaggen in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

9. Dover Street Market
Located on Dover Street in London, England, this shop, owned by Comme des Garcons' Rei Kawakubo, is a mixture between an art gallery, a museum and a couture store. Along with fabulous clothing from a wide range 0f designers (hand-picked by Kawakubo), port-a-potty changerooms, dinosaur fossils and cheetah heads are some of the few interesting things you will find in this five-floor shop.

10. miss rowe
Ashley Rowe is the go-to designer for the cool girls who have fabulous events to go to in Toronto. She recently had a customization event where customers could create their very own Miss Rowe piece during a 30 minute appointment. Now, the Toronto-based designer has just finished her Fall 2009 campaign shoot, with Fashion Television documenting the experience. Best Dressed: Chanel Iman

"It's Topshop! Ahhh … I would have worn H&M if I knew I was coming here earlier! But I just sort of got out of the car. I had on pants earlier, but I just took them off!"

With legs like those, who needs pants?

Superhero trend...is it catching on?

The superhero trend has been featured in magazines (Vogue and Nylon to name a few) and designer collections (ie. Luella's Spring 2008 RTW) for a few months now.

The May issue of Vogue featured Canadian supermodel Coco Rocha playing the role of the superhero, in honour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" exhibition. The Met also held its annual ball back in May with this same theme.

However, it seemed that many of the stars ignored the dress code, and just wore designer duds baring no resemblance or homage to superheroes at all.

Is this the reason why the superhero trend hasn't caught on? Although comic-book inspired threads have been featured everywhere, I have yet to see anyone wear it on the streets! Will this trend define us as fashionistas, or simply just make us look like die-hard comic-book fans?

Nonetheless, if you still want to try it out, check out Topshop's latest Super Heroes collection, featuring a sequined lightning bolt skirt, star-print rainboots, and of course, Superman undies.
