Video surfaces of John Galliano's anti-Semitic rant

Things aren't looking good for John Galliano, as a video surfaced this morning showing the designer declaring, "I love Hitler."

The Dior designer was arrested in Paris Friday morning for an alleged assault in a café the previous evening. Galliano reportedly accosted a couple while under the influence of alcohol, making some anti-Semitic and racial remarks.

Galliano also allegedly pulled a woman's hair and told her she had a "dirty Jew face," and hurled racial slurs at her companion, who is of partial Asian ethnicity.

The video of Galliano's rant was posted by British tabloid the Sun this morning is said to have been filmed at the same cafe, but not on the same evening as Galliano's arrest.

In the cell-phone video, the seemingly drunk designer is seen hurling anti-Semitic insults at patrons nearby.

“I love Hitler,” he says. “People like you would be dead. Your mothers, your forefathers, would all be f**king gassed.”

This video adds to the drama that escalated on the weekend, when a second police complaint was lodged against the designer.

A 48-year-old woman came forward, asserting he had subjected her to a similar tirade at the same locale on Oct. 9.

Galliano is currently suspended from Dior during the investigation of these alleged remarks.
“Dior affirms with the utmost conviction its policy of zero tolerance towards any antisemitic or racist words or behaviour…Pending the results of the inquiry, Christian Dior has suspended John Galliano from his responsibilities," the French fashion house said in an official statement.

You can watch the video below, but be warned, it is highly offensive.

Karlie Kloss stars in Dior' latest ad

Here is your first look at 17-year-old Karlie Kloss in Dior's spring 2010 campaign.

She pulls off the femme fatale role pretty well, but in all honesty, not very many 17-year-olds could do the same.

What do you think of the ad?

Paris Fashion Week: Christian Dior Spring 2010 RTW

John Galliano opted for the "femme fatale" theme for the Christian Dior Spring 2010 collection. Taking notes from the couture collection , Galliano incorporated the "underwear as outwear" look, with lace slips peering under gowns, corsets worn as shirts, and silk bloomers paired with fitted jackets.

Those in the front row included Rihanna, Vogue's Anna Wintour and Dita von Teese.

Spotted: Taylor Momsen and Mischa Barton

Who knew these two were friends?

Gossip Girl's Taylor Momsen and The Beautiful Life's Mischa Barton were spotted together at a cocktail party in honour of designer Kris Van Assche. The event was hosted by GQ and Dior Homme and was held at The Cooper Square Hotel Penthouse in New York City.

Is this the beginning of a beautiful friendship? Or could this be the beginning of the demise of Taylor Momsen?

The Chic Spot's Top 10

Here are the things that are currently tickling my fancy.

1. Jean Paul Gaultier's croc overalls at Paris Couture week.

2. Judith Leiber's Cupcake crystal-embellished clutch ($4295 at net-a-porter.com).
The jaguar clutch also deserves honorable mention.
3. Lady Gaga's Malta press conference.
Favourite quotes include, "I'm inspired by fashion. I'm inspired by the moonlight. I'm inspired by sex and pornography and slasher films," and "Just get a good shot of my ass on the way out."

4. Chanel's wedding-style dresses at Couture week.

5. Sequined granny knickers

6. British hunk Freddie Stroma, who plays Cormac McLaggen in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

7. Underwear as outerwear...especially at Dior Couture.

8. Topshop's Fall 2009 "Marianne" collection (More pics here via nitrolicious)

9. Dover Street Market
Located on Dover Street in London, England, this shop, owned by Comme des Garcons' Rei Kawakubo, is a mixture between an art gallery, a museum and a couture store. Along with fabulous clothing from a wide range 0f designers (hand-picked by Kawakubo), port-a-potty changerooms, dinosaur fossils and cheetah heads are some of the few interesting things you will find in this five-floor shop.

10. miss rowe
Ashley Rowe is the go-to designer for the cool girls who have fabulous events to go to in Toronto. She recently had a customization event where customers could create their very own Miss Rowe piece during a 30 minute appointment. Now, the Toronto-based designer has just finished her Fall 2009 campaign shoot, with Fashion Television documenting the experience. Her site is currently under reconstruction, but you can check out her Facebook page to get a sneak peek of the Fall '09 shoot!

The Met Ball 2009

The Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute Gala is the Oscars of the fashion-world. It is at this time that fashion-savvy celebrities, supermodels and designers come together, dressed in fabulous clothing, to celebrate the launch of the Met's latest exhibit.

This year's theme was the Models as Muse: Embodying Fashion, and was hosted by Marc Jacobs, Justin Timberlake, Kate Moss, and Anna Wintour.

The guests wore their best suits and gowns, and some of them made more daring fashion choices: Kate Moss sported a gold lame turban, Rihanna wore a Dolce & Gabbana suit, and Madonna turned heads in her Louis Vuitton ensemble, bunny ears and everything.

The Gossip Girls, Blake Lively and Leighton Meester didn't do to well on their fashion choices, with Lively's teal Versace dress with its high-cut slit up the side, and Meester's floral Vuitton emsemble. Blair and Serena would be disgusted.

Agyness Deyn resembled Marilyn Monroe with a short blonde bob and a silver Burberry gown, and Heidi Klum's very pregnant physique was extremely noticeable in her J. Mendel dress, even though it was meant to hide the bump.

Here are some of the most memorable looks of the night!
