Rihanna opens up to Glamour magazine

Rihanna is making sure her comeback will be one to remember!

On top of doing a tell-all interview on Good Morning America and 20/20 this week, the 21-year-old songstress is featured on the December cover of Glamour magazine.

This is the first exclusive sit-down interview Rihanna has done after being attacked by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown back in February.

Here are some highlights from the interview:

Glamour: Let’s talk about this past year—you’ve obviously been through some difficult things. How did the people around you help you cope?
Rihanna: My friends and family have been extremely supportive, and everyone has been there for me. But at some point you are there alone. It’s a lonely place to be—no one can understand. That’s when you get close to God.

G: Are you referring to the [Chris Brown] incident?
R: I am talking about starting with the night [before] the Grammys and then on. That was not the only thing that occurred this year. The picture leaking…it was one thing after another.

G: You’re talking about the photo [reportedly of Rihanna’s injured face taken by police after Brown assaulted her] that was allegedly leaked by cops. You handled that so well; you kept silent in the press.
R: It was humiliating; that is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it’s my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by] two women.

G: How has this event changed you as a person, as a woman?
Rihanna: I’m stronger, wiser and more aware. You don’t realize how much your decisions affect people you don’t even know, like fans.

G: Do you feel that this experience has laid the groundwork for coping with anything so public again?
R: It has taught me so much. I felt like I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears. That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day. It was like, What, there are helicopters circling my house? There are 100 people in my cul-de-sac? What do you mean, I can’t go back home?

G: If you could offer a message to the millions of young women who look up to you, what would you tell someone who found herself in a similar situation?
R: Domestic violence is a big secret. No kid goes around and lets people know their parents fight. Teenage girls can’t tell their parents that their boyfriend beat them up. You don’t dare let your neighbor know that you fight. It’s one of the things we [women] will hide, because it’s embarrassing. My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard. Now I can help speak for those women.

G: I think that’s a great message. What about your new album? What’s it like?
R: I was involved in a lot of the writing. I put everything I’ve wanted to say for the past eight months into my music. The songs are really personal. It’s rock ‘n’ roll, but it’s really hip-hop: If Lil’ Wayne and Kings of Leon like my album, then I’ll feel good. I would not change anything about it. Even if people don't love it, I made exactly the piece of art that I wanted to make. It’s super fearless—which is exactly how I feel right now. I am in a really good place.

The December issue of Glamour will hit newsstands November 10th.

Chris Brown claims he doesn't remember beating Rihanna

Operation salvage Chris Brown's career is in full effect!

Since beating his former girlfriend, Rihanna, Brown, 20, has pleaded guilty to felony assault and was sentenced last week to five years' probation.

Now, the singer is speaking openly about the incident on Larry King Live.

When asked by King on how he felt about the assault, Brown claimed he didn't remember doing it.

"I just look at it like wow, like I'm in shock, because first of all, that's not who I am as a person and that's not who I promise I was gonna be," he told the talk show host. "Like when I look at the police reports, or when I hear about the police reports, I don't know what to think. I just don't know what to think. It's just like wow."

When King clearly asked if Brown remembered beating Rihanna up, he responded, "No. It's like, it's crazy to me, I'm like wow."

Brown also revealed to People magazine, "I never fell out of love with her. That just wouldn't go away."

Chris Brown's interview on Larry King Live will air this Wednesday, September 2nd at 9PM ET on CNN.

Chris Brown issues an apology

Chris Brown has finally issued an apology for severely beating ex-girlfriend Rihanna back in February.

His speech includes:

"Since February, my attorney has advised me not to speak out even though ever since the incident, I wanted to publicly express my deepest regret and accept full responsibility.

“I wish I had the chance to live those few moments again but unfortunately I can’t. I cannot go into what happened and most importantly, I’m not going to sit here and make any excuses. I take great pride in being able to exercise self-control and what I did was inexcusable.

“I have told Rihanna countless times and I’m telling you today that I’m truly, truly sorry and that I wasn’t able to handle the situation both differently and better.”

It's so obvious that he's reading from a teleprompter...

What do you think of Chris Brown's apology? Genuine? Or simply just a move to salvage his career?

We working on it right now. It’s called Graffiti. It’s got everything on it, so y’all be ready for that.”

He concluded with, “Everybody that’s haters, they just been haters. All my real fans, I love you all. I ain’t a monster.”

Rihanna's nude photos: Update

A few days ago, nude photographs of Rihanna hit the web.

48 hours later, the 21-year-old refused to release a public statement, but her record label, Island Def Jam Music Group, sent a letter to at least one website that published the photos.

The letter refers to "unauthorized photos purported to be...Rihanna," and demands that the photos be removed from the site, and calls the photos a violation of "the Artist's rights." They neglected to confirm whether or not the photos were of Rihanna, however.

Chris Brown
's reps were quick to release a statement to Essence.com saying, "This is both a false and defamatory statement. Chris has not released or 'leaked' any photos of Rihanna (or anyone else for that matter)."

However, one of the original photos that leaked was of Brown sitting on a hotel bed with pink panties on his head. Another photo with Rihanna in bikini bottoms and a white dress shirt (above) has "I love you - Robyn. I miss you." scrawled across the bathroom mirror.

If Brown didn't leak them, then who did?

When will these celebrities ever learn??

Nude photos of Rihanna leaked online!

Uh-oh!

Looks like Rihanna's gotten herself into another scandal!

Naked photos of the 21-year-old singer have leaked onto the internet. Two of the photos are close-ups of Rihanna's face. Her face is not visible however in the photos showing her breasts and buttocks.

This is really unfortunate...she was just beginning to get her life back together!

I wonder if Chris Brown is responsible for this??

Chris Brown pleads not guilty

Image via bittenandbound.com

Arriving almost 30 minutes late for his court hearing yesterday, singer Chris Brown pleaded not guilty to his alleged assault against then-girlfriend, Rihanna.

Brown's lawyers are said to be planning out a plea deal with the L.A. District Attorney's office in order to avoid a course case at all costs.

But let's be honest, how is he going to convince anyone with evidence like this?

When asked about the plea deal, Rihanna's lawyer said, "I believe there are efforts by all parties involved to resolve this case expeditiously. That would be beneficial to everyone. Rihanna would be pleased if this case were resolved quickly and fairly."

The pop singer's father, Ronald Fenty, also spoke out, saying Brown needs to "stop being in denial." He told reporters,

"So what happened? Somebody else did this to Rihanna then? I would like to see justice go in the right direction. Who did it - that's the question now. If he's not guilty, who did it? He should say 'guilty' and let the court be leaning into him and try himself to the mercy of the court, see if he gets a fine. I think he's a talented guy, but everybody should have to pay. When you do the crime, you do the time."

Brown is due back in court on April 29th. Let's hope justice will soon be served!

Is Rihanna still a suitable CoverGirl?

Image via Mascara.Page

Even though she was allegedly abused by her boyfriend, Chris Brown, singer and CoverGirl spokesperson Rihanna still went back to him, and is even recording music with him.

Now, the 21-year-old is trying to get out of testifying against Brown in court.

All this less-than-admirable behaviour has gotten beauty company, Revlon, to secretly hire a huge polling company to find out if Rihanna is hurting its competitor, CoverGirl.

The online survey features a CoverGirl mascara commercial. It then questions participants if they know who the person in the commecial is (Rihanna), if they've heard about her in the news lately, and if they feel she is an "appropriate spokesperson" for the product.

Rihanna needs to smarten up and leave Chris Brown before she ruins her own career!

Chris Brown's mystery text message sender revealed!

Image via sugarslam.com

Uh-oh! More drama and controversy for Chris Brown.

The 19-year-old singer reportedly received a three-page text message from his manager, Tina Davis, asking him to hook up later. This text message is the one that triggered the fight between Brown and his girlfriend, Rihanna on Feb. 8.

It is rumoured Davis, who turns 40 this month, was romantically involved with Brown when he was only 16 years old.. Both parties deny this.

The detective's affidavit refers to the text message as being "from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with."

Chris Brown and Rihanna recording in the studio together

Not only are Chris Brown and Rihanna together romantically, but also professionally.

E! News reported that the two are currently in the studio recording music together.

The pair are working on a duet that Brown is hoping to include on his new album, which will be out later this year.

It was rumoured before that Brown's leaked track, "Electric Guitar" was supposed to feature Rihanna. Perhaps this is what they're working on?

Either way, another bad decision on Rihanna's part.

Chris Brown stays mum in court

During his court hearing yesterday in Los Angeles, Chris Brown remained tight-lipped and walked out without entering a plea in the two felony charges against him: assault and making criminal threats.

Speaking only four words to the judge -- "yes," "yes," and "yes ma'am," an "emotionless" Brown did not proclaim his innocence or guilt in the proceeding that took roughly 4 minutes and 20 seconds, and was granted a continuance until April 6th by request.

Reports say that Brown "wants to avoid a trial at all costs because the picture of Rihanna taken one day after the incident -- which has not been seen anywhere publicly -- is unbelievable."

The singer signed a waiver of presence during the proceeding allowing his lawyer to act on his behalf, meaning he won't have to show up to any minor court proceedings before April 6th.

After the judge granted Brown's request to continue the case, he told the singer, "You are not to annoy, harass, molest, threaten or use force or violence against anyone."

Brown also may not "disturb the peace, keep under surveillance or block movements" of her, and must get rid of any guns he may have by surrendering them to police or selling them to a licensed dealer within 24 hours. And he cannot "dissuade or prevent" anybody from attending a hearing or making a report to police.

Under the order, however, he is allowed to contact Rihanna in person or by telephone, as her attorney, Donald Etra, told the judge that "Miss Fenty [Rihanna] does not request [a no-contact] order." Therefore, there are no limitations to how physically close he may be to her.

The only restriction checked on the form is the box reading: "The protected persons may record any prohibited communications made by the restrained person."

The order expires in March 2012.

Rihanna's family unable to get a hold of her

Image via usmagazine.com

After hearing about the two felony charges against Chris Brown, Rihanna's father, Ronald Fenty revealed to Us Weekly that he is unable to get a hold of her.

"...I can't get on to her. Her mother can't get on to her, her brother told me she changed her email. Somebody has a stranglehold on her. I'm lost," said Fenty. "I'll text the old numbers she had, and I call them. One girl answered, and she said, 'This is not Robin's number anymore.' I asked, 'Do you work for Robin? Do you deal with Robin?' And the girl hung up, so I don't know what's going on anymore. I'm lost."

Regarding the charges, Fenty said, "I don't know how to react. Chris is a very talented guy. I still think he's a little immature for Rihanna. Justice can never be served in this situation. He can't feel the pain she felt. I don't believe in hitting a woman. I hope everything works out better for them. I don't feel happy or sad. He's in the court's hands. Let justice prevail."

Let's hope that Rihanna reaches out to her family soon!

Chris Brown charged with two felonies

Image via mtv.com

Although they seem to have reconciled, Chris Brown has just been charged with two felonies - assault and making criminal threats - in the alleged beating of his girlfriend Rihanna on Feb. 8.

Brown is set to appear in an LA court at approximately 3:30 P.M. this afternoon.

If convicted, Brown faces anywhere from probation to a maximum four years and eight months in state prison, DA spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons told People.

LA's FOX 11 News was able to get its hands on LAPD detective notes from a search warrant detailing the horrific assault against Rihanna.

This is how the events unfolded, according to FOX 11:

After Rihanna read a text message on Brown's phone from a woman, he tried to force Rihanna out of the car, but couldn't because she was wearing her seatbelt.

Brown then allegedly slammed Rihanna's head against her window, and when Rihanna turned to face him, he punched her.

The notes said blood spattered on Rihanna's clothing and the interior of the Lamborghini.

Rihanna also called her assistant, according to FOX 11, leaving a message saying, "I am on my way home. Make sure the cops are there when I get there."

Brown then reportedly replied, "You just did the stupidest thing ever. I'm going to kill you," and proceeded to punch and bite Rihanna. He allegedly put her in a headlock so long that she almost lost consciousness.

More to come on the results of Brown's court appearance.

Rihanna's family is not happy about reconciliation with Chris Brown

Image via mrsgrapevine.com

Take their advice, Rihanna!

The 21-year-old singer spent the weekend in Miami reconciling with Chris Brown, and her family is not happy about it.

"Everyone wants them to take a break, to cool off," a relative of Rihanna told People magazine after the pair returned to Los Angeles together early Monday morning. "No one wants them back together."

Her relatives thought the relationship was over after Brown allegedly attacked Rihanna on Feb. 8. However, their separating was short-lived.

A source told People that Brown and Rihanna are "definitely together" and working on a reconciliation.

"I'm concerned," continued the relative. "I don't want her to make a mistake, and I don't want her to ever go through this again."

Rihanna's father, Ronald Fenty, on the other hand, has said he supports his daughter and her decisions.

He told the magazine, "Whatever road she chooses, I'm behind her. We are a family who stick togethr even though we are apart."

Whose side are you on? Rihanna's father's, or her other relatives'?
