Valentino to design a capsule collection for Gap
Gap has gotten itself a new high-fashion collaborator.
In honour of its first Italian store opening in Milan, the brand is launching a capsule collection with none other than Valentino.
Valentino's artistic directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli have created an exclusive ready-to-wear women's collection to launch at the end of November.
Gap has previously collaborated with Pierre Hardy and Stella McCartney in 2009.
Valentino for Gap will be available exclusively at Gap's new boutique in Milan, Colette in Paris, and Dover Street Market in London.
Looks like I'll be needing to take a trip to Europe for this one!

Nicola Formichetti named Creative Director of Thierry Mugler
Nicola Formichetti has a new job to add to his already impressive resume.
The stylist, who's most notable client is Lady Gaga, has been named the new creative director of famed for dressing Thierry Mugler's men's and women's lines.
He is replacing Rosemary Rodriguez, who revived the fashion house after it had survived on fragrance sales for ages.
Along with being a stylist extraordinaire, Formichetti is also the creative director of Dazed & Confused, fashion director of Japanese Men's Vogue, and contributing fashion editor to V and Another magazines.
His first collection for Thierry Mugler will debut for Fall 2011.

Lanvin said to be H&M's next designer collaboration
Word on the street is that Lanvin might be the next H&M collaborator.
If this is true, the collection will hit stores in early November.
I've found the last few collaborations to be slightly disappointing, so I'm hoping that this one will happen!

UPDATE: H&M has confirmed that Lanvin is its next collaborator!
H&M is proud to announce that its next designer collaboration will be with Lanvin, one of the most influential brands of the 21st century.
Designed by Lanvin’s artistic director Alber Elbaz, and menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver, the collection will go on sale on November 23 in around 200 H&M stores worldwide.
The collection of both womenswear and menswear will be revealed to the world on November 2, just three weeks before the clothes hit the store, making the launch of Lanvin for H&M among the most anticipated fashion events of the year.
